Another new moon is on its way! Happy days!!! New moon, new goals, new beginnings!!! I get really excited a couple of days before the New Moon:)
New Moon in Scorpio will arrive on 15 November 2020 (in the UK at least:)). Please take a look at Moonology website to learn about November New Moon dates for the rest of the world. When you click on the link, you can also find further information about what you can do to prepare yourself for the energies that this new moon will bring:) I’ve already started getting ready for it, and here’s what I have done so far:
- I started putting away things that I don’t use: I started with my wardrobe. I’ve noticed that I still have a few pieces that I have not put on for a while (maybe even at least two years!!!). They are clean and almost new! They really are still in very good shape and I believe they can look very good on someone else. I’ve put them into a bag and I will drop them at the donation box.
- I organized my living space: The waning moon period is really good for organizing living spaces. I can get very disorganized really quickly and I use the waning moon period to tidy up various rooms in the house. I managed to throw away a good number of unnecessary pieces of paper into the recycling box. I organized the medicine cabinet and got rid of the expired medicine and medicine boxes as well.
- I cleaned parts of the house: A couple of years ago I read a book called Moon Time written by Johanna Paungger. The book is a very good resource on how to organize your life according to the moon’s rhythm. And at one point in that book, I think it said (or I read somewhere else, I do not really remember well) that it’s better to do deep cleaning when the moon is waning. Such a practice would help maintain the cleanliness of the house longer. Well, I’ve started following her advice for the past three moon cycles. I do not have any scientific proof to back up what the author says, but I’d like to express my observation:)) Since I’ve started following this practice, which means that I deep clean the house once at the start of the waning moon and another time before the new moon, the house gathered less dust. Actually, I do not even clean the window sills or the TV furniture every month because sometimes there is no dust:))) I will keep on practicing this cleaning ritual at least for another year and will come back with further solid evidence and observations:)
So, this is what I have done so far. I still have a couple more days before the new moon arrives. What I will do in the following days is I will go through my goals I’ve written down for the current moon cycle and see what my progress is like. Then I will set new goals for the new moon in Scorpio.
Do you also follow lunar cycles? Please feel free to share your practices:)
