I hope you dedicated at least a couple of minutes to smiling and laughing. You know what Charlie Chaplin once said, “A day without laughter is a day wasted,” and smiling is the easiest and most efficient reward you can give yourself.
Also think about what you do just for yourself on a daily basis. Forget what you’ve done for your kids, your parents, your customers or your boss. Take a moment and ask yourself, “What have I done today to make myself happy?” or “What have I accomplished today (small/big) to increase my self confidence?“. It’s a virtue dedicating your life to the service of others, but please try to create sometime to dedicate to yourself as well.
So what can you do? Well, if you want to do some good to your body, you can incorporate a ten minute morning yoga session before breakfast. Your body will thank you for it. You can read at least five pages of a novel or self help book before you go to bed. You will have learned something you might not have known before. You can dedicate at least thirty minutes of your time to exploring a new music compilation to raise your spirits! Here you can find further ideas!
The bottom line is, try not to end the day without doing at least three things that will benefit your body or your soul. That’s a simple trick that will help you live your life to the fullest.
